Details:
SimG Productions (with Wighton Street Productions) proudly presented the UK Premiere of THE PORK CRUNCH by first-time playwright Adam Hunter - a fast and funny three-hander that reflects the trials and tribulations of modern day society and how generation Y deals with a global recession … all leading to hilarious consequences.
‘A 75 minute rollercoaster of drugs, desperation and desire … and the kidnapping of a £3000 fish!’
The UK Premiere played a limited and successful engagement at the Pleasance Theatre London and starred Mia Austen (who has worked with Sir Peter Hall, and appeared at the Theatre Royal Haymarket), Adam Hunter (who appears in the upcoming British Feature Film A Wedding Most Strange, and best known for his role in Neighbours), Roger Woods (who was in the West End & German productions of Blue Man Group), and Directed by Simon Greiff (who directed the British Premiere of the indie-musical Striking 12 in London).
This production may not have been possible without the generous pledges we received through WeFund. Thank you to those who helped us, and who support new writing of this kind - thank you one and all!
Hunter, Woods & Greiff had been collaborating on the play for over a year, and as part of it’s development process a public rehearsed reading was presented in May 2010 at the Brockley Jack Theatre, directed by Greiff, and starred Hunter, Woods and Louise Kempton.
