Celebrated leading lady Ms Stephanie J. Block is best known for her Helen Hayes Award winning performance as Elphaba in ‘Wicked’ on the US Tour. On Broadway Stephanie has created roles in ‘The Boy From Oz’, ‘Pirate Queen’ and ‘9 to 5’, and has been nominated for Drama Desk, Drama League, and Ovation Awards. Her numerous Concert performances span America, she has played the renowned Jazz club Birdland in New York many times, and more recently was a special guest at Scott Alan’s sold out London Concerts.
On Sunday 28th February Stephanie performed her very own unique Concert in London, featuring a selection of songs from her debut album ‘This Place I Know’ and songs highlighting her amazing career so far. She was joined by Musical Director Simon Beck, together with the sounds of a four-piece band and special West End guests Annalene Beechey and Oliver Tompsett, plus her Broadway ‘Pirate Queen’ co-star Hadley Fraser.
Unfortunately due to ill health Stephanie was unable to perform the second show and unavoidably it had to be cancelled. Stephanie thanks her fans & followers for being so understanding and vows that she will be back to London as soon her schedule allows. SimG Productions hopes to be able to make that happen …
Special VIP seats were sold in aid of TheatreMAD (part of the fundraising family of The Make A Difference Trust), and all money raised went directly to this very worthy cause.

Reviews:
“Block or Blockbuster … her knowing bright-eyed personality and sensational vocal delivery were a complete knock-out. This is one of those theatre voices that can do it all - sing sweet and low, belt big and brash, and fold in that soprano top where the show tune demands it … Her opener, "He Touched Me", had all the Streisand ecstasy and then some - but this is a tougher, streetier, more in-your-face instrument and because Block is fearless and unstinting she puts herself on the line time and time again … Stephanie J. Block has made good. Let's have her back - and soon.”
EDWARD SECKERSON – The Independent
“It was clear to see that we weren't just witnessing a wonderful singer effortlessly belting out some of her favourite tunes; we were in the presence of a high-class musical theatre actress, who removed the notion that we were merely at a concert and transported us from number to number as if each one were a standalone story, filling the gaps between with hilarious banter and witty narrative. SimG Productions claims to have been created out of necessity, but with its growing reputation for bringing us not just extremely polished, but aesthetically pleasing and well put together performances, one can hope that they'll continue to produce more phenomenal concerts in the near future.”
